Since 1983 our home-based company has made the band music of German publishers conveniently available to American bands at reasonable prices. Now in our twentieth year, we have customers in all parts of the US, ranging from 6-piece groups to large symphonic bands. We have music of virtually all German publishers available and feature editions from Rundel Publications, one of Germany's leading publishers of band music, becoming well-known in the US.

German band editions are fully compatible with American instrumentation, and are today being used and performed by school, university, community, and armed forces bands with excellent results. Two minor differences in instrumentation are:

          1) The soprano brass section is scored for 2 Flügelhorns and 3 Trumpets. The Flügelhorn parts may of course be played on Trumpets.

          2) The Baritone/Euphonium section consists of two distinct parts, called "Tenorhorn 1 in Bb" (treble clef only) and "Bariton" (bass or treble clef). These two parts are often scored in harmony with each other, resulting in a distinctive sound from the low brass section.

Band editions from Germany published during the past ten years usually include parts for Horn in F. Older editions have only Horn in Eb parts. This however is an easy at-sight transposition even for young horn players.

Many American band directors have the mistaken impression that German band music consists solely of the "oompah" type. Nothing could be further from the reality of the musical scene in Germany today. Concert music in a wide range of styles, both band-original and transcriptions, is published and played by community, young people's, regional, and armed forces bands in Germany today. Interest in the wealth of march literature remains very keen among bands all over Europe.

Here in this program we have grouped a portion of the titles from our catalog in convenient categories which we hope will assist you in finding the kind of band music you are looking for. Click on the categories that interest you.
Most band directors quite naturally want to hear unfamiliar pieces before ordering. We have compiled a list of CDs by some great European bands which feature published titles which we have available. Simply click on CD & Cassette Recordings

For band directors, sample score albums with sample CDs are available free of charge. Contact us by E-mail , phone, or postal mail.
